Listen to Eminem "Not Afraid" (lyrics included). New single released today

Today Eminem released his new single "Not Afraid" from his upcoming album Recovery that hits stores June 22. For years I've been disappointed with Eminem's work. It was nowhere near as good as "The Marshall Mathers LP". Could he change my mind this time around?

There is no denying the talent of Eminem, but he's been angry for way too long, which after a while gets old. However, he takes a different turn with "Not Afraid". On the hook he sings:

"I’m not afraid to take a stand/Everybody come take my hand/We’ll walk this road together, through the storm/Whatever weather, cold or warm/Just let you know that, you’re not alone/Holla if you feel that you’ve been down the same road."

Refreshing, don't you think? And dare I say, "inspirational". In the song, Eminem promises not to disappoint fans going forward and admits his last album Relapse was just "ehhh". (I agree on that!) He stays positive throughout and seems more like an adult. Being sober, a better father, and causing "no more drama from now" are just a few things he's planning on.
