Inez Howze, who watched Game 1 of the World Series on a small, 18-inch RCA TV in her corner apartment at Garland's Montclair Estates, was featured in the Oct. 29 edition of The Dallas Morning News.
"It's the only thing on TV that I can watch and can hear," Howze said. "I'm legally blind, and can't hear very well, and sports, particularly the Texas Rangers, are the only thing I can watch."
That comment opened the heart of Greg Felts of Farmers Branch, who saw Howze's sports enthusiasm as an opportunity to lend a hand to a perfect stranger.
