"Dancing with the Stars" veteran Karina Smirnoff is planning to tie the knot with baseball star Brad Penny.
The 32-year-old professional dancer, who was recently eliminated from the show along with celebrity partner Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, announced she got engaged last month, according to People. "We kept it quiet because my family is in New York and Brad's family is in Oklahoma," she said. "We kind of wanted them to come out and celebrate and be a family first before we let the cat out of the bag."
Smirnoff and Penny, who played last year for the St. Louis Cardinals, began dating in October 2009, after Smirnoff and her fellow "DWTS" star Maksim Chmerkovskiy broke off their engagement.
