A-Scarium at the Aquarium: Meet sea monsters and enjoy magic shows, live music, pumpkin carving, and crafts. This year: a Halloween 4-D feature, The Curse of Skull Rock, will also screen. Collect treats and venture into the haunted Sea-fari. Events from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. www.nyaquarium.com.

Harvest Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6: Halloween parade, plus face painting, storytelling, art activities, pumpkin decorating and a musical performance by The Deedle Dee’s. 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Children will pot plants in honor of “It’s My Park Day,” and make masks for Halloween. The Transit Museum, Brooklyn Historical Society and American Ballet Theatre will host tables, Half Pint Citizens will be in the sandbox leading a fun family craft activity. www.brooklynbridgepark.org.

Gravsend Inn Haunted Hotel: City Tech’s Theatreworks’ high-tech haunted hotel, the Gravesend Inn, is a walk-through spookfest for ages 7 and up. The Halloween Plays: Two of Brooklyn’s most prestigious repertory companies — Brave New World Repertory Theatre and Company XIV — are collaborating on The Halloween Plays, three spooky and original one-act plays suitable for both adults and young adults. 12th Annual ICL Great Pumpkin Patch: Free pumpkins, arts and crafts activities and more for 150 Brooklyn children, parents and grandparents with some help from ICL St. Marks Residence clients and staff.
