Debrahlee Lorenzana:Debrahlee Lorenzana was filing suit against Citibank, because they fired her, she says, for strange reasons: it is too hot.
She is 5’5”, 125 pounds, and well, you saw her photo.
“Where I come from,” she said Village Voice “, a woman dressed as a put-on makeup and do their nails, go to the supermarket … I was raised very Latin. We are female. The woman in Puerto Rico takes care of itself. ”

Her bosses told her that as a result of the shape of its shapes, such clothing was allegedly “too distracting for her male co-workers and managers bear,” she says.
“As a result of its high growth, combined with her curvy figure,” her suit said, Lorenzana said, “it should not be the classic high-heeled shoes business, as it allegedly paid attention to her body in a manner that was upsetting her easily distracted male managers. ”
“I could not believe what I heard,” Lorenzana said the voice. “I said, you gotta be kidding me!” I was like, too distracting? “For whom? For you?” My clients do not seem to have any problems. ”
Once Debrahlee began working at a Citibank branch in the Chrysler Building, she said, there are all focused on her appearance.
She works with a lawsuit charging the bank to create a gender-based discrimination among the lawyer, Jack Tuckner, who agrees that she is smoking hot, but believes the case Debarah should stand with the jury.
“It’s like saying we can not think anymore because our penises are up and we can not think about you, but sexual way, and we can not look at you, not wanting to have sex with you. And it’s up to you , beauty, to reduce your call, and we can concentrate! ”
But he also said Debarah strange that she should come to my place (room) for a photo shoot, because it should have pictures of themselves in more conservative clothing for use in her court … And then (allegedly) told her OK to accept and let the print voice of the other pictures they it on your site.
Fortunately, she has more evidence than just a conservative picture.
And a lot of oral testimony from living Puerto Rican woman.
She will tell the jury that when she looked too hot, they told her to dress down. But when she said she did not wear makeup, they told her that she looked “painful” and when she left her hair curly instead of straightening it, they told her that she should go ahead and straighten it every day.
“I could wear a paper bag, and it would not matter,” she said a voice. “If it was not my shirt, it was my pants. If it were not my pants, it was my shoes. They picked on me every day.”
Citi can simply add this to the list of sex-related misconduct claims they accumulate. First there was the blog Fabulis claims against them, Dorly Hazan-Amir, which is pretty ridiculous on the part of Citi, if true, and it is only in the last four months. We have an e-mail to Rep. of Citi PR and will update when we hear back. Here is their response:
“We believe the lawsuit is without merit and we will defend against it vigorously. We respect the privacy of all our employees, and therefore can not comment more specifically on the trial, the effectiveness of this former employee, or the reasons for her termination that the arbitral tribunal must decide. Citi seeks to foster a culture of inclusion and to ensure a respectful environment in the workplace. We have a strong commitment to diversity, and we do not condone or tolerate discrimination within our business for any reason. ”
This is a strong defense! History Debrahlee sounds like a good plotline of the movie. What would we call it? Add your ideas in the comments.
